ACCU 2008 Location

Conference 2008

The ACCU Conference 2008 takes place at the Oxford Barceló Hotel, (formerly the Oxford Paramount Hotel) north Oxford, situated 2 miles north of Oxford city centre. With convenient access by road and ample parking but also within easy reach of both the town centre and the bars and restaurants of the Summertown area, this location offers us the best of both worlds.

How to get to the conference venue

By road

You can find driving directions here.

Please note: as you approach the hotel, some satellite navigation systems may guide you to the wrong exit on the final roundabout (the Wolvercote roundabout). Watch out for the hotel's own sign directing you to the Godstow Road exit. The hotel entrance is then on the right, a short distance down Godstow Rd

By rail

First Great Western and Virgin Trains run regular services to/from Oxford. See the national rail enquiries website for detailed information on trains to and from Oxford.

By air

The Oxford Bus Company run bus services from Heathrow and Gatwick airports to the central bus station at Gloucester Green.

Public transport

Buses running from the city centre include the 20/20A service from the train and bus stations, which stops on Woodstock Road just before the Wolvercote roundabout - the hotel is a short walk away - and the number 6 from Magdalen St which stops on Godstow Rd outside the hotel.
