Administrators who are still trying to master Informix should read the book.

This guide can be considered as a collective set of techniques designed to extract maximum performance from the new releases of Informix Online Dynamic Server and Informix XMP. Such techniques include query optimisation, database design and memory utilisation. Speeding up disc performance and CPU usage are also covered.

You will find in-depth discussions of the optimiser and parallel data query techniques. These are supplemented with real-life case studies.

Although concise, this book should not be considered as a replacement for the Administrator Guide. Administrators who are still trying to master Informix should read the book.
